UNKLE has just announced details of this year’s Britannia Classic downhill race and simultaneously released last year’s recap video. Give it a watch, get stoked, and then get ready to register!

Vancouver, B.C. – The UNKLE Events team is proud to announce The 2012 Britannia Classic proudly supported by Switchback Longboards. This 3 days event is happening just 40 mins north of Vancouver and 3 hours north of Seattle in the sleepy historic town of Britannia Beach on May 25-27th.  One part Freeride and One part Racing the 5th Annual Event is sure to be one for the history books as top international and amateur contenders battle for $5000 CASH. We are also amp’ed to add a 2nd JUNIOR class for the growing amount of younger participants and will include a OLD MAN Class for those grey hairs too . All age divisions will be decided once registration is complete and we have more info about the quantity of participants in each potential category.  There will be no registration at the event as we will need that time for shredding. 

Registration will open March 30th on www.BritanniaClassic.com and will stay open for an extended period until all spots are filled. Payment will be required at time of registration in order to secure a spot.

Justus Zimmerly

Born in Chicago and raised on the flat Canadian prairies, it wasn’t until moving to Ontario for school in 2005 that Justus got a taste for riding skateboards down hills. Since then it’s been a bit of an obsession. He graduated with a degree in Film Studies, but spent as much time focussed on skateboarding as he did on studying. Now he’s living the good life in Oakland, California, riding his motorcycle and working as Editor-in-chief for Skate[Slate].
