The Whistler Longboard Festival went down this past weekend.  I was super bummed that I had missed the race due to one of my travelling companions falling ill.  I was at the door step and just couldn’t quite get there.  However, there’s always Push Culture News to save the day.  I cannot say enough for how much we appreciate the work these guys do.

Dan Pape

Dan has been connected to the lifeblood of downhill skateboarding for over a decade now. In 2009, he received a credit with National Geographic for his creation, The Fellowship of the Bearing. His 13 minute version of the film went on Banff’s “Radical Reels” World Tour. He often mentions that his #1 goal was is to create stoke in the longboarding industry. In 2010 he started a School for Kids so that they could learn how to ride safe before Co-Founding Skate[Slate]. He has dedicated a ton of time helping riders and the industry get to the next level.
