The Cathlamet Downhill Corral (CDC) is known for it’s use of ramps. First year had none. But two years ago ramps were on the DH race course and it freaked people out. Ramps were also utilized on the sidewalk slalom and the slide competition. Last year came with an addition of border cross with ramps and this year looks to be even better. This year, the ramp builders are going out to Cathlamet this Monday to start building.

I don’t know if you knew this, but there is $6,000 prize money. All you all-around skaters better come here and try to make some money. This event is coming up at the end of next week. It is August 24th through the 26th in Cathlamet, WA which is just 74 miles from Portland, OR. It’s the fourth annual Cathlamet Downhill Corral presented by Rip City Skate, folks. I’ve got photos from previous years and more details about each event…

Eleven AM Saturday morning with $370 for the podium. Kyle Martin is sure to be there.

Sidewalk slalom to get your wiggle and drop on.

Slide Comp…chomp chomp.

Border Cross ramps will be better than last year.

$1,000 for first place! 8th Place and up get a payout.

Get yourself to Portland (PDX) and you are so close to Cathlamet. Seattle would work too. Check PDXDownhill forums for rides out there if needed. Check the Cathlamet Downhill Corral website for more details.

Here are a few pictures from last year:
