Rob McWhinnie sent over this video of an outlaw race that went down in Australia recently. The inclusion of cones to make a Giant Slalom-style course seems like a great way to turn any hill into a potential race hill.

following the success of the shred the thread format we created a new run down a steeper hill, the aim being to create a safe fast track that riders could push hard on and have plenty of room to blow it if they went to far. throw in a feature to keep it intreasting and a hairpin to give a passing oportunity.

Born in Chicago and raised on the flat Canadian prairies, it wasn’t until moving to Ontario for school in 2005 that Justus got a taste for riding skateboards down hills. Since then it’s been a bit of an obsession. He graduated with a degree in Film Studies, but spent as much time focussed on skateboarding as he did on studying. Now he’s living the good life in Oakland, California, riding his motorcycle and working as Editor-in-chief for Skate[Slate].
