Pantheon 2017 Ember Release

Brand new pusher from PANTHEON Longboards. The Ember is 32.75 inches long, 8.5 inches wide, and with a 25 inch wheelbase designed SOLELY around TKP trucks. Created to maximize the interface between the classic skate truck and the commuter skateboard / longboard. This deck is designed equally well for the hardcore LDP, commuter, and active lifestyle rider as for the beginner skateboarder / longboarder. Read up on the board below and check out more at PantheonLongboards.com.

From Pantheon:

We named this board the Ember for a reason. The all-too-typical longboarder story goes a little something like this (and we’re not singling anyone out here, for this is founder Jeff’s story as well): “I used to skate as a kid, and then I stopped for a while. Now I’m getting the itch again, and I came in to purchase a longboard since I’m getting older and I don’t take falls like I used to.” Well, Jeff-like future longboarders, do we have the board for you! The Ember is the flame that once was, waiting to be reignited into a burning fire if only given the love and attention it needs.

The Ember is the street-skater’s commuter deck. We designed it specifically around 149mm street trucks. Slap some Indys on it and some big ass wheels and you are ready to go! We actually prefer this board with Paris Street 149mm, though you are welcome to use any street truck you want. Paris just have THAT FEEL, and this isn’t any favoritism being played here for any reason other than that we tested everything on them, and those are the trucks that we can push the hardest while feeling balanced and turn the best off of one foot, which is imperative for a true commuter board. If you can’t steer the thing, you can’t dodge baby strollers, and you don’t want to hit babies. That’s not really setting a good precedent for skateboarding, is it? We love skateboarding. Don’t hit the babies.

The Ember is tiny. Any skater who can skate a street deck will be very familiar with the stance. There’s plenty of space you need, and nothing extra. Eight plies of Canadian maple hold this sucker together, and we’ve dropped the platform low with a 3/4-inch crescent drop and 1/4 of rocker between the drops. It is the perfect commuter. Easy to push, easy to footbrake, easy to slide, nimble, lightweight, supports huge wheels and thin trucks, which keeps you from kicking the wheels and smashing your face. We have been riding ours with 80mm Orangatang Kegels, but you can fit 85mm Speed Vents on it no problem. Though the deck is small, it is nearly ALL platform, and we don’t waste space on arbitrarily long necks. Because the deck is specifically designed around street trucks, you get to stand next to the wheels, where you have the most control and leverage. No other commuter board is made this way.

The Ember sets up as a complete that is reasonably priced and extremely purposed. It’s not just a longboard because longboards are cool. It’s a longboard meant to take you where you want to go, whether you’re a beginning skater, an old former skate rat looking to get back on a board, or an experienced veteran looking to cover a hundred miles at a time.

We are offering this board with multiple graphic options. We believe wholeheartedly that this board belongs in every skateboarder’s quiver, and we want you to love it. Pick your graphic and flaunt it.
