The Evo was designed by a world champion to be the ultimate race board, it has won more races in the past 5 years than any other board in the world. Even though the Evo has been the board of choice for 3 World Cup Champions it has become extremely popular for both freeriding and everyday riding.
-Dropped platform, providing a more stable ride and making it easier to push and foot-break.
-The wedged nose and de-wedged tail allow the board to steer from the front, making it much more predictable and easy to ride.
-11 plies of Canadian Maple making the board stiff and durable
-Features the artwork of Dan Mumford (http://www.dan-mumford.com)

Bombing machine
The evo is a sweet board for just tucking. lock your feet into the drops and let the 30* difference between the trucks leave wobbles as a thing of the past. I have mine paired with crails, running the front loose and the rear snug it's stable into the 40s, after snugging up the front I've come damn close to 60. I love my evo for gripping runs, and it's a pretty decent board to learn slides on also. I really liked this board, it got me going fast, and paired with a decent amount of shoes I could conquer some pretty serious roads.
DH specific
I love the Evo for DH. It is my DH specific board, i have an old '06 edition with randal DH, 90mm flys and landyachtz bearings, It flys and is so comfortable at speed. 40+ mph and not a quiver. I recommend this board to any DH rider.
good for DH, not much else
I ride a very un-usual setup so the way i have rated it is very dependant of running a 2 degree back truck angle and with a 50 degree plate on the front, its amazing for DH, its easy to ride down the gnarest of roads, it is a tank of a board that sits low so its also great for pushing distance on but it is very limited with the setup i run but it does its job nicely
Haters gonna hate...
...but you can't knock the ride.
One of the classic DH shapes; everyone should spend time on one at some point.
The wedge/dewedge is pretty crazy, compared to some other DH decks, but it makes it fun to slide around in garages. Dropped, for easy pushing, and thicker than a mofo, for the more...well-fed among us.
Currently running it with 10mm Grizzlies and Speed Vents, but I've had a lot of fun with BigZigs and Gumballs, as well.
Along with the EW Supercharger, there will always be a spot in my quiver for this deck.
stability with a nice turn
This board is very downhill specific thats where it really excels predrifts are nice and it has smooth turns through corners. freeriding is nice cause there its so low pushing is easy. the only downside to this is the concave in the back can start hurting your feet after awhile
