I'm definitely gonna be riding this one for a long time. The lightness just makes it so responsive at speed and sliding is effortless.

These are probably my favorite trucks so far. They have the perfect height for me and I love the huge amount of lean these things have. The unrestrictive bushing seat is just amazing with eliminators.

Beautiful artisic looking board with amazing city performance to boot, wonderful to push long distances over 15km, and with the right setups you can change it from crusing/carving to sliding and back without having too much. I currently own one and I can keep up with other boards on flat straights and light to med-light (0 degrees - 25 degrees) hills. One of my friends are alredy jealous of me, and there are plenty of owners that agree that this board is a city dream. if you live in a city, and roll far, this board will rock!

Screw DreamWorks, the LBL penguin is original and has all the production of nearly every competitor board company out there. The 5/8 drop in the deck coupled with a 10" standing platform really is the cats meow. Even though the deck is longer than most of the competitions freeride drop boards (Rayne Nemesis, 39", Five Mile a-10, 38") the deck easily out performs anything thrown in its way. Mine is setup with the 45 degree Bear Hybrids and sector Nine Race formula 80a in the freeride mold. Dont waste your cash, spend it on Larry's Hard work. And youll be saying

I LIEK PENGUINZ

I've had this deck setup with Caliber 50's, 78a Metro Motions, and a Blood Orange/Venom bushing combo for close to three months now. I am absolutely loving the deck so far. Very versatile, excellent wheel clearance, and it does have a semi-'W'-concave thing going on that turns out to be super comfortable. Being a fan of wider footspace, the Rocky Bomber was a good decision. You will definitely notice the flex if you are 175+, so keep that in mind if you are considering higher speeds.

I don't have any specific setup recommendation other than my own because it's the only one I've tried with it. My wheels are pretty much destroyed, but I would definitely recommend the Motions. The slide is very similar to some Abec 11 'thanes.

There really aren't any major or important cons to the Eastside Rocky Bomber. It's a very simple deck with all-purpose in mind. Go skate!

When i was deciding on my new board to get, i was skeptical of a topmount. I ended up going with the Landyachtz wolfshark. After an hour of riding i fell in love with this board, the huge gaspedals are such a nice touch that lets you lock your feet in for high speed stand up slides or toeside predrifts. The slight w concave and rocker were so nice together, the rocker is not so little that its unnoticable but not so big it got annoying, it is just right. Landyachtz really hit the jackpot with this board. All my friends who have rode it love it so much, i still have yet to find someone who is dissapointed with this board. The only problem i would say is that the wheel wells are pretty small. I used to run medium trucks and everyonce in a while i would get wheelbite, now i run them generaly tight, which i find easier to hold out standups, its much cleaner. Also its not that great to push around because its high off the ground, but no one in their right mind would but this board to cruise around the college campus.

This deck is an ultimately rad deck! i have been riding it on 50* randals with yellow retro freerides, and so far, i've really enjoyed it! also, this board is a drop-through, but i topmounted it so that i had more control over my slides.
this board is certainly a freeride board! and it is very good for that! i was bustin out some big standups on it, and gettin really rad! only thing that was wrong with it is that it has a bit of flex which makes it a bit twitchy in bigger slides, which is okay. also, this board is very stable for downhill, even with the little bit of flex. another upside to this board is the tails! they make this board REALLY fun for flatland tricks; no complys, boneless's, manuals, etc...
i really enjoyed this board during the time i got to ride it, and i think if you have the money, you should buy it, because it certainly is worth it!

This board does everything it says. Massive standes are easy with gas pedals, drop-through truck mounting, decent concave and rocker, not forgetting the large foot platform!

In the UK this is priced at around £150 cheapest which is pretty costly but the build quality of LY is still here :)

This board does NOT allow for much turn - any of you wanting to do serious carving, really sketchy/turny runs or be really tech with slower tricks will find the turning a circle a pain in the ass. The shape of board means each corner bites like crazy with most 50 degree trucks, and trucks such as Paris are set slightly further back (towards the board) compared to Bears, and make the wheel bite issue worse. Even with Bears I get annoying bite and have to sacrafice turning.

Saying that, it is designed a speedboard, and does as it says!

The Sector 9 82a 74mm Race Formula's are a very pleasing wheel. The 74mm size is not too far away from the sweet spot of 70mm, keeping them quick in acceleration and smooth on all sorts of surfaces. The wide contact patch provides a great amount of grip and when paired with the 82a durometer they have just the right amount of slip. They hold their speed wonderfully and fair well in downhill; true to the 'race formula' name. These wheels have also proven excellent in freeriding. After the contact patch is broken in and the sharp lips are softened/worn away, the wheels become great for throwing speed checks and 180's. Sliding like this tends to be right in between icy and buttery. They wear evenly and slowly: and excellent quality for a downhill/freeride wheel. I recommend them for any setup where the size will be appropriate.

The Landyachtz Switch is an all-around great board that excels in many disciplines.

Price - The deck's price is appropriate considering its size and thickness. Usually, the more wood that goes into the board, the higher the price. Being a fairly thick board, you wind up with a solid package that feels good and secure underfoot while still providing a comfortable amount of dampening flex. Also, considering the way the wood is shaped, (dropped-platform, Gnar-Bars, deep normal concave and 'W' all in one board) you definitely get what you pay for.

Graphics/Style - A subject like this usually comes down to personal preference, but the graphic of the Switch is a general crowd-pleaser. The interesting work of graffiti artist EwokOne really livens up the underside of the deck with some abstract flair. His graphic complements the base white color scheme as well, making the board quite aesthetically pleasing.

Carve - This deck carves well, granted the bushing setup is appropriate. As with most boards, the carveability comes down to what shape and durometer bushings sit in the trucks. It is essential to keep in mind that this deck will not have the same type of leverage as either a topmount or a drop-through when choosing your bushing setup. Take note that the 1.75" dropped platform does result in a small loss of leverage over the trucks when compared to a topmount. A well-sized riser and softer roadside bushings will keep you from feeling the difference. I have had no problem carving deeply(wheel-bite and rail-bite free)with a setup that excels in both freeriding and moderate downhill.

Cruise and Push - This deck scores highly in the cruising category given its deeply dropped platform and great carving potential. The low platform of the deck makes it very easy to push and reduces a considerable amount of the muscle stress that comes from stepping off the board. The flex is tangible with each push and helps build up helpful energy.

Downhill - This board has the potential to be very strong downhill. It's strongest downhill features include the dropped platform and the aggressive concave patterns. The drop in the platform makes you feel very secure at speed and the concave of the normal standing platform locks your feet in tight. There is 'W' concave that runs the length of the board between the Gnar Bar pockets which keeps you comfortable and aware of where you are on the deck at all times. The 'W' also comes in handy for predrifts to help you stick a line when going into corners.

Freeride and Slide - This deck shines for freeriding. All of the previously mentioned features come together to make the perfect medley for getting down a hill with style. One of the most attractive features for freeriding this board offers are what Landyachtz calls the Gnar Bars. These are the pockets formed between the drop in the deck and the beginning of the regular concave. These sections of the board are wonderful in locking you into the deck and giving you plenty of leverage in pushing through slides. Because wood is unable to bend in two directions, there is no concave to the Gnar Bars, however the sense of security takes no blow. The aggressive normal concave combined with the 'W' pattern of the regular platform area is also very helpful in giving you the needed leverage to hold out slides. There is plenty of space to move around on with this deck, accommodating a wide range of stances. The drop platform also makes this deck incredibly drifty. You can remain in control with the right amount of grip when riding, but breaking traction to throw speed checks and other slides is virtually effortless.

Overall, this is a wonderful deck for basically everything. I would definitely recommend it to beginners and higher level riders alike. It is well worth the investment.

Finaly Arbor makes a good board! This board comes grip with realy grippy griptape, so you don't need to worry about that. The board is good but I think the price is a bit high for what you get. The board has good concave, so all in all its good=)
