Racers Battle Top Speeds - Heidi Germann

We jumped in the Delica to make it to the Vancouver Island ferry on time, knowing that even the slightest route mistake would mean that we weren't going to make it before the last ferry. With Mischo Erban riding shotgun speed was not an issue, but there were a few times he told me his heart jumped a beat.

Congratulations goes out to James Kelly for his win in the Cathlamet Downhill Corral Longboard Festival. The other podium spots went to shredders Alex Toung (2nd) and Casey Morrow (3rd). On Friday Night

Kevin Reimer listens with the other podium racers at the 2010 Mount Washington Longboard Race held this past Sunday. The top racers of the day were K-rimes 1st,  2nd Taylor Riley and 3rd Rick Hornbrook.  K-rimes was clocked at 108.5km/hr and 16 year old up and comer, Riley set the current Canadian record at 109.3km/hr with his Brazilian Style Tuck.  Taylor Riley was Kevin's main threat of the day.  Kevin went on record to say that he's never felt more threatened than he was that day racing against Taylor Riley.  More Story to come.

K-Rimes Testing out his Doc GoFast Helmet.  No, he didn't win the race using it. After 3 1st Place Finishes and 1 2nd Place in IGSA's World Cup in Europe, Kevin was glad to be back on his stomping ground breaking 100k all day. Full Mount Wash Story and more pictures this week.

Its almost that time of year again, for the annual Toronto Board Meeting. Anyone who has attended a board meeting in the past will tell you this is a "must do" event. The event brings together skaters from the Toronto and surrounding areas for a group ride through the streets of downtown Toronto. This is not a push race but an assembly of skaters out to have fun, the streets will be open and mayhem will ensue. Last year over 300 skaters attended the meeting, and this year organizers expect to see more than that. The meet is scheduled for sept. 11 2010 and more details about the meeting spot and the route will be released closer to the event. One thing is sure, this event is worth the trip to Toronto.
