NYC Quarter Mile Sprint Races

Screen-shot-2013-05-13-at-1.23.15-PM

Jimmy Soladay (Blue Sky) has set out to host sprint races to see just who NY’s fastest pusher is.  Every month he is going to hold this event to see who holds the title and if they can keep that title.  He just recently broke the world record for the longest one wheeled manual.  Check out the vid here.  Only about 20 people showed up for the first race this past sunday.  Some heavy hitters in Ny, Kiefer Dixon (Bustin) and Steven Sanchez (Bustin) both were in attendance.  Things went pretty smooth with 3 man heats the winner moving on.  I lost to Sanchez in my first race.. It was so close!  He went on to win the whole thing and was crowned the “King of the Month”  After the sprint races Blue Sky Skateboards held a longest slide on flat ground.  I happen to take that one for myself :D  Got myself a Blue Sky Beefy board!  Last but not least was the hippie jump contest.  It was intense as everyone playing was landing all the jumps!  Eventually Paulie Connor (Bustin) stuck the landing.  Looking forward to next month for redemption!  I’m coming for you Sanchez!!
